World War 1 Report.


When did World War 1 start?


World War 1 was a war that was mainly situated in Europe it started in 1914 July the 28 and ended in 1918 November 11th.


Why did World War 1 start?


World War 1 started from the death of Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie. Franz Ferdinand was the duke of Austria-Hungary, Franz Ferdinand’s wife who was Sophie Duchess of Hohenberg was also murdered in the assassination.


Who assassinated Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie?


A group of six went to kill Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo and his wife, out of the six Gavrilo Princip killed Franz Ferdinand and his wife because of politics and they didn't feel that he was doing a good job.


What countries Were Involved in World War 1?


Britain, France, Russia, Italy, U.S.A, all fought against Germany, Austria-Hungary, Ottoman Empire, and Bulgaria. Britain, France, Russia, Italy, U.S.A all fought together because the were all allied with one and another which lead to a world war, Germany, Austria-Hungary, Ottoman Empire, and Bulgaria also fought together because they were all also allied.


How did New Zealand and Australia help in World War 1?


in 1915 New Zealand and Australia sent A.N.Z.A.C. . [Australian New Zealand Army Corp] soldiers to fight the Turkish soldiers in Gallipoli which was 100 years this year.


Why did New Zealand and Australia send troops to Gallipoli?


A.N.Z.A.C. [Australian New Zealand Army Corp]
Soldiers were sent to try and push the Turkish out of there country and capture Dardanelles which was the gateway to Bosphorus and the Black sea.

Hi Lennyx,
I like the way you have set out the report, with a question as a heading and a paragraph to answer it.
Other countries fought alongside Britain, as part of the Commonwealth, such as Australia and New Zealand and Canada. Also, some of the Pacific Island nations, although for many of their soldiers, it was the first time they had come into contact with diseases so they got very sick. They were also unaccustomed to the cold and to wearing boots.
